Our Preschool Program creates a foundation for confident learning through play, exploration, movement, creativity, and hands-on discovery. At this age, children are naturally asking questions and making connections about everything around them. We build on that curiosity through age-appropriate experiences that introduce early literacy, mathematics, science, art, communication, and social-emotional development.
Children are encouraged to explore materials, make choices, communicate their ideas, work alongside others, and begin solving simple problems.

Our Pre-K Program builds upon children's natural curiosity while preparing them for the increased independence and academic expectations ahead. Children begin engaging in more intentional STEAM investigations, collaborative projects, early design challenges, literacy and mathematical thinking, and real-world exploration.
Instead of simply asking children to remember information, educators encourage them to explain their thinking, make predictions, experiment, and try different approaches.

The goal: Prepare children for kindergarten while protecting the curiosity and creativity that make them eager to learn.

The Discovery Program is designed for children ready to take their thinking further. Learning becomes increasingly project-based, collaborative, and challenge-driven, giving children opportunities to investigate meaningful questions and apply what they're learning.
Children may step into real-world roles, investigate problems, design solutions, create prototypes, test their ideas, and communicate their discoveries. STEAM becomes increasingly integrated with literacy, mathematics, creativity, communication, and real-world experiences.

STEAM AT THE DOT

STEAM Isn't an Activity. It's a Way of Thinking.
At The Dot Academy, STEAM isn't limited to a designated "science day" or occasional experiment.
Children learn to use science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics as tools for exploration and problem-solving.
Importantly, every activity does not need to incorporate every STEAM discipline. One investigation may be heavily science-focused while another centers on engineering, mathematics, technology, or design.
The objective is meaningful depth—not forcing every subject into every experience.
Student-to-Teacher Ratios

The Dot Academy is intentionally designed around small-group learning and meaningful educator-child interaction.
Class sizes and staffing will meet all applicable licensing requirements, with final ratios determined by age group, classroom configuration, enrollment, and program needs.
Final ratios will be published before enrollment begins.
